Our top story this month is Doral Renewable have successfully financed the 1.6GW Mammoth Solar project in Pulaski County, Indiana. Bechtel will be the EPC for all 3 remaining phases of the project totalling 900MWs. KeyBanc Capital Markets acted as Coordinating Lead Arranger and Administrative Agent, and HSBC and Santander acted as Joint Lead Arrangers for the $285 million financing, which consists of a $200 million construction loan facility and $85 million of additional support via letters of credit.
Vestas has secured their first offshore wind order supplying Equinor’s 810MW Empire Wind 1 project
Our second story is Vestas have secured their first offshore wind order in the US supplying Equinor’s 810MW Empire Wind 1 project. The order includes 54 V236-15.0 MW turbines, the order includes supply, delivery, and commissioning of the turbines, as well as a five-year comprehensive service agreement, designed to ensure optimised performance of the asset followed by a long-term service support agreement.

AES Ohio plans to invest more than $1.5 billion from 2024 through 2027 to improve system reliability, through extensive investment in transmission infrastructure and grid modernisation improvements.
